Foot Board Games

Do you ever get bored sitting at home during the winter? Perhaps you have exhausted your ideas for indoor entertainment, and you don't want to brave the cold of January in Ohio. Here's a fresh idea for during those long periods of time inside in January: Try playing a game that's good for your feet! Many board games are kinetic, which makes them fun to play and increases your energy level. Here are some of our favorite games to play with your feet:

1. Twister. Right foot red, left foot yellow. This classic is always fun for all ages. Getting twisted up and still keeping your balance is difficult, and your feet are highlighted as an integral part of this game.

2. Gestures (and other charades games). This charades game is a lot of fun and many of the clues you give are acted out using your feet- like stamp, stomp, hop, or jog. Not to mention clues pertaining to your favorite bouncy animals like rabbits or kangaroos.

3. Kinetic indoor games like "Duck, Duck, Goose" or other tag games are great to play when you have a lot of space and not many fragile items. If you have an open basement you can play these games with your kids or a group of their friends. This will let them burn off some excess energy without having to bundle up to brave the cold.

If you have any other ideas of ways to use your feet indoors, let us know- we always love hearing your input.
