The summer should be a time for your children to recharge after the school year. They have time to play and explore. Summer should be stimulating, and not a time for them to turn off their brains. Encourage your child's imagination and curiosity during the summer, as this will help keep them engaged in learning. Remember, learning can take place at home, in the backyard, at the park, at the beach- learning can happen anywhere, not just in school! Don't miss an opportunity to foster knowledge development for your children. And although the TV is a convenient babysitter, don't let the summer pass your children by without seeing the benefits of exercise and sunshine. You may even find that your children are bored with the TV.
